I am married to my wonderful husband, Hunter. We will be celebrating ten years of marriage this October. We have two daughters, Abby who is almost 5 and Ellie who will be 1 this September. They keep us busy. When I am not spending time with my family, I love reading and crafting.
I have an Elementary Education degree from Western Kentucky University. I also have my master's degree as a Literacy Specialist from the University of Cumberlands. I attend professional development opportunities throughout the school year to continue my learning in education and what will best help my students in the classroom.
This will be my seventh year teaching. Five of those years I have been teaching kindergarten at Hite Elementary. Before that I taught first and third grade. I absolutely love teaching kindergarten! It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion for my subject so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners. Kindergarten is an exciting year of growing. I am always amazed at the little kiddos that enter into my classroom in August, and the young, bright minds that leave my classroom in May. I look forward to meeting you and your child and journeying through this year together.
